The Home Insulators is a family-owned insulation company based in New Rochelle, NY. This page explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- What you send us. When you ask for an estimate or contact us through the form, we receive what you type: your name, address, email, phone number and any message you add.
- How you found us. The first time you visit, the site sets one cookie of its own, named
thi_ft. For nine days it remembers the page you arrived on and the site that sent you, so that if you send the form we know how customers find us. It is not used for advertising. - Technical records. Like any website, our web host and our security firewall keep standard request logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and protect it from attacks.
How we use it
We use what you send us to answer your request, to schedule and carry out your estimate or job, and to follow up with you about it. When you send the form, our office receives a text-message alert so we can reply quickly.
Who else handles it
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. It is handled only by the service providers that run this site for us: our web host, our website security firewall, the text-message service that alerts our office to new requests, and Google’s address-lookup service, which may suggest matching addresses as you type in the form’s address box.
Text messages (SMS)
The Home Insulators (THE HOME INSULATORS.COM INC) sends text messages only to people who have signed up to receive them. Besides customers who sign up, our own team members who sign up on our Team Text Alerts form get work alerts by text. With these work alerts, customer details (name, job address and phone number) are sent by text to our own sales reps and office staff, who are part of The Home Insulators, not a third party. When you sign up, we keep your name, your mobile phone number and a record of your consent: the date and time you signed up and how you did it (for example, by ticking the text message box on our estimate request form, by texting JOIN to one of our numbers and replying Y to confirm, or, for our own team members, by signing our paper Team Text Alerts form). We use this information only to send you the texts you signed up for about your estimates, jobs, invoices and payments with us, to answer your replies, and to keep a record of your consent and of any opt-out.
Message frequency varies (usually 1 to 4 texts about an estimate and 1 to 4 per invoice). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any of our texts to opt out, or reply HELP for help. Our full text message terms are at https://thehomeinsulators.com/sms-terms/.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We never sell, rent or share your mobile number, your text message opt-in or your consent with any third party, affiliate or lead generator for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Cookies, advertising and tracking
We do not run advertising on this site, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Apart from the one thi_ft cookie described above, our security firewall may set cookies it needs to keep the site secure. Because we do not track visitors across other websites, a browser “Do Not Track” signal does not change how this site treats your visit.
Security
The whole site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and it sits behind a website security firewall that screens traffic for attacks.
Children
This site is for homeowners and property owners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete the information you sent us, or to ask us to stop contacting you by phone, text or email, write to info@thehomeinsulators.com or call 914-554-2289, and we will take care of it.
